Memorial Weekend at Glendo

OK so I have a lot of work to do, with an entire summer of adventures that have gone by, hours of blogging is in my future. Our annual trip to Glendo, WY for the holiday weekend was probably one of the best so far, we had great weather (especially for Wyoming in May), found a good campsite considering that several were quickly being consumed by the constantly rising reservoir, and of course great company and more good food than you can possibly eat.Just pulled into camp, it was really hot and the kids wanted to go for a swim, notice the trees are all in the water, by the time we left the suburban (a little portion of the bumper is on the far right) would have been parked in the high water!

Rachel having a great time in the water and throwing mud
She is so brave, that water was NOT warm

Caleb enoying some marshmallows with Jimbo and Diane

Rachel demonstrating the messy mallow technique

Caleb making scary faces and loving the mallows, notice the water creeping up on our fire in the background

Playing on a rocky shore, where the water was a bit warmer

Doug flying sky high

Even the roughest of boat rides can't keep that little girl from taking her afternoon nap
The big boy needs a little rest time too!
