Road Trip to the Great Lakes-Minnesota

After our morning hike at Presque Isle, we packed up camp and drove to Duluth where we would spend the next couple nights with Doug's Aunt and Uncle, Brenda and Rob. They were both working the day we arrived so we spent some time at the waterfront/boardwalk in the afternoon before heading to their house.
Their first experience with cotton candy, the expressions are priceless as they taste the pure sugar goodness for the first time

The lighthouse at the end of the port entry in Duluth

Picture proof of how much fun/tasty cotton candy is

Doug and the kids waiting for a ship to come in...literally

Finally it is arriving, you can see the sailboat on the left side for size comparison

We watched the bridge come up, and the ship go by into the port

Out with Uncle Rob at his dog training grounds, Caleb found and caught a frog

Rachel practicing her goose call

Back at the house, Caleb's favorite toy in the world, to this day, Rob's house is the house with the John Deere

Rachel and her Great Uncle Rob relaxing in the sun, although she called him grandpa the whole time we were there...makes us wonder if she knew the difference between Uncle Rob and Grandpa Jim

Going for a 4-wheeler ride

Caleb's turn with Daddy

Family photo at Gooseberry Falls that afternoon

While the rest of us were freezing on shore, without being wet
