6 Months old in a new house

We have been really busy the last couple of weeks moving into our new house and getting ready for Christmas. We are heading out to Oregon for 10 days to spend time with friends and family. We are mostly moved in but still live in the land of a few scattered boxes. We have already had more snow this year than last, which made for some cold moving days and icy streets. No pictures of the house yet, but I promise there will be.

Out Christmas tree hunting by Red Feather Lakes

Ahh back in the warm car

Starting to eat solid foods and sit in my big boy chair my favorite so far is home canned green beans and toast (hopefully I am supposed to eat those things)

Sledding in the back yard, I only like going away from the sun, it is too bright going South

Doing my daily push ups on my way to mobilization

My favorite toy the Jumperoo (Thank you Hollee) I am jumping so high I get air!

Halloween and Thanksgiving ...already 5 months!!!!

I am trying to play catch up here, so hopefully everything works for me and I still have a few loyal viewers even with my lack of picture posting. Caleb had a great first Halloween and was a very cute puppy dog.

4 Months Old

Caleb is 4 1/2 months old as of Halloween, my how time flies!!! I am sorry that the updates have not been frequent lately; we are temporarily out of internet service and the few times in the last month that I am able to get online, I am not at a computer with any current pictures on it. We are all still doing well, Caleb is growing up so quickly. He had his four month check-up and shots 2 weeks ago, and is doing very well. He weighed just under 15 pounds (50%) and was a little over 26 inches long(92%) , he is beginning to master rolling over both directions and as of the other day putting the rolling together to actually move somewhere. He is trying to do the army crawl (he has the leg movements of crawling but not the arm strength to hold himself up. He also has obtained quite the non-verbal vocabulary. My family was out to visit at the end of September, and Doug's sister Jen and our niece Anna were here for 3 weeks in October, so Caleb has been having fun playing with his only cousin!!!

2 Months Old!!!!

Oh the joy of getting older and bigger when you are a baby that is, Caleb is really getting into playing with some of his batteryized toys, he is smiling a lot and talks up a storm when you talk to him. He had is 2 month check up with the doctor, which means getting those nasty shots. He was 11 lbs, 11.5 oz, which put him in the 60th percentile for weight. He was 23.5 inches tall (80th percentile) and his head circumference was 16 inches (60th percentile). The shots weren't too bad, I think I hear him scream louder on a daily basis, and everything else checked out well. We also went camping up at Horesetooth again this past weekend. Grandma Cindy camped with us one night so that Doug and I could go wakeboarding. (Caleb can't hold the flag yet)

Doug teaching Caleb how to drive the boat (no one has to know it was parked on the beach)

Drinking and driving do not mix except when the motor isn't running

Caleb has the lower lip pout down pat, just incase he stops doing this we had to capture it on film. For those of you who have not seen him in person he does this all the time as a pre crying maneuver (it doesn't work on us we just laugh)

Caleb's new favorite thing, maybe even better than eating; could it be? He makes this face when something excites or interest him, in this case it appears to be the neon green cloth covering the springs in the Jumperoo

He's figured it out now, so the green thing isn't as interesting

He played till he couldn't play anymore, Luckily this has bought me a couple hours of computer time, think of this as a live picture as I finish this blog entry.

First camping trip at 8 weeks

Again this blog entry is a little old, but the photo upload is just now working for me. We had planned to go to the mountains for a camping/hiking trip, but decided on trying someplace closer. Horsetooth reservoir is just outside of the city limits of Fort Collins (so about 5 miles from home). We packed up the boat and the camping gear for Caleb's first camping weekend. He did great, slept just as well in the tent as he does at home, and seemed to enjoy being on the boat. Saturday was a little cool so he didn't go swimming, but Sunday he had his first swim in a non-chlorinated pool :) For those of you keeping track of his growth he was weighing in at 11 1/2 lbs.
Caleb in his life jacket , which he only wore on land. He really didn't like it that much, so he rode in his carseat on the boat

A pretend tube ride, while parked on the shore

A little sunshine to warm up after a quick swim

Doug caught a good size small mouth bass, Caleb missed it due to taking a cat nap

Back at home, playing on the floor mat that Amber and DJ gave him, he likes to kick the ball (you can see it swinging back and forth)

7 1/2 Weeks

I apologize that it has taken so long to update the blog, I actually wrote all of this 3 weeks ago, but the blog was having photo uploading problems, so finally today it is all here, but the info is old. Caleb is almost 2 months old and weighed in at 11 lbs 2 oz today and is growing really fast. We are all doing very well, especially now that Caleb sleeps a little longer at night. We actually had a one time feeding last night, which I could live with for a long time, but hopefully we will move right along to a no night time feeding schedule. Co-ed soccer has wrapped up and now begins volleyball, men's soccer, softball and flag football, getting Caleb to bed early is a challenge with all of these activities.

Put a smile on!

Vail Soccer Tournament

Congratulations to the Internationals (Doug's mens soccer team) on their championship at the Vail tournament this past weekend, they went 6-0 on the weekend and won the championship for the second year in a row. This was Caleb's first couple nights away from home, he did great, I can't say he paid close attention to the games, but he was there and that is what counts the most. We took him swimming in the hotel pool, his first big water experience and we think he had a good time, he didn't cry anyways.

Grandma Cindy with Caleb a few days before the tournament, he is now 6 1/2 weeks old, and weighs in at 10 lbs 9 oz. His hair is starting to get a little reddish tinge to it. He is also starting to smile and coo a lot which is so much fun to be around.

More pictures

I have tried several times to add these pictures below and for some reason they weren't working on the other blog entries, so they get there own blog entry. They are just random pictures from 4 to 5 weeks old. How could anyone not love this face!

After spending so much time together I finally got a picture of Caleb with his buddy Quint, who is a month older and attends most of the soccer games.

I am a sleeply little captain, but I sure am cute ! Finally we have had a day cool enough to wear pants before I grow out of all of them.

Summer Time Fun

Caleb is now over a month old, wow how time flies. The weather has been hot, and we have been doing the usual (soccer games and long walks in the stroller) Once 4 weeks past, I was able to go swimming, so we took Caleb in the (cool) hot tub for his first swim, which he liked much more than his bath time in a tiny tub. Caleb weighed in at 9 lbs 12 oz on tuesday, so he is probably close to or over 10 lbs at this point and changing every day. He has started to pay attention to toys a little, and is seeing new things every day, it is fun to watch him and his expressions as his tiny world gets bigger by the day. Next weekend we will be making our first trip away from home, Doug has a soccer tournament in Vail, so we will be making the 4 hour drive and staying in a hotel for the first time since Caleb's arrival (should be interesting). If all goes well, we might try a small camping trip in a couple weeks.

3 1/2 Weeks and Growing

Thank you everyone who has left wonderful comments on our site, I will keep adding more photos so keep looking. We are all doing great, I think we have a pretty good routine down and we are getting adequate amounts of sleep. Caleb had his 2 week checkup last week (actually at 3 weeks), he is growing well. He weighed in at 9 lbs and is really healthy, not much sign of the minor jaundice that he did have. We went to a wedding as a family and have been attending more soccer games as well as taking some long walks in the stroller.

The family at Mike and Tara's wedding in Windsor, Grandma Cindy got to babysit for the reception portion of the wedding. Our first time leaving him for over an hour.

Exercising my tongue yet again

I don't like bath time at this point but being wrapped in the hooded towel isn't so bad.

My first smile caught on camera in daddy's arms.
