The Flaming Gorge was our big camping trip for the summer, as in we had been planning it for several months and included meeting up with my parents and siblings. We extended several invitations but in the end it turned out to be a small group of 10 counting the 2 kids. We had great weather for Wyoming, only a few days with wind, and no storms. Both times we have been there we are amazed at how large the reservoir is (91 miles long) and how few people we have to share it with! Since we had a smaller group we took advantage and did a little more sightseeing (still haven't seen the whole reservoir yet). Lots of fishing was done by some, and the water was smooth all day so everyone got their fill of wakeboarding/skiing, and there was no shortage of good food and fun drinks!
After some morning wakeboarding, we came back to find an island party

The feast

The water level at Horsetooth dropped 5 feet in a few days, so our camping location was a little on the muddy side, but the kids could care less about that
