The weather was not looking great for Memorial Day weekend, but tornadoes were not forcasted so it had to be better than last years camping in the quansat with all the boats in 40 degree temps. We packed up the suburban (it's first camping trip with us) and set out for the weekend. All in all it was a good weekend, the weather as it turned out could have been better but it could have been a lot worse. Luckily, the worst of it was while we were in the tents otherwise the trip may have been called short. Doug's dad and Diane met us up there the next day and we had a good time, both kids did really well sleeping in the same tent, although it took them at least an hour to go to sleep at night. Caleb loves the boat and watching wakeboarders, Rachel likes the boat when it is moving, but the life jacket is too distracting for her when we are sitting still, once she is walking better it will probably not be an issue. Caleb had a great time playing with Rachel in the johnny jump up hanging from a tree, it might seem like she was being tortured, but she was having a good time too.
