We camped at Peninsula State park near Egg Harbor for 2 nights following the wedding, our one full day we did a lot of exploring all the park had to offer, hiking, the beach and a couple scenic short drives.

Doug and the kids went a ways out, but the beach just kept going, if it were a bit warmer that would have been an awesome place for the kids to play in the water

We left our campsite early the next morning and made our way through Green Bay and across most of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We camped at the Presque Isle campground near the Porcupine wilderness area. We spent most of the day driving through amazing fall color hardwoods, but not much for towns or anything else. This was our first trip down to the shore of Lake Superior, I was amazed at how different it was from Lake Michigan...much colder and the shore is mostly mauve/purple colored.

The next day we spent the morning hiking along the river, which has several amazing waterfalls, the waterflow seemed to be pretty heavy for that time of year and had a lot of iron in it making the water look dirty
