The last and longest part of our journey to the Northwest was time in Oregon seeing friends and family as well as a big campout at on the Tillamook south jetty. The weather had it's ups and downs, but it was a great time with a bunch of people we rarely get to see.

Jonah, Zach, Rachel, Caleb, Taylor and Dylan getting ready for an outside picnic lunch at my cousin Kerry and Jenny's house
A yummy stop at the Tillamook Cheese factory for some icecream on our way to Tillamook Bay

Doug and the kids perched atop the rock that marked our camping area on the south jetty

Grandpa Jimbo, Rachel, Doug, Caleb and Erin flying a kite in some fierce wind, it was a beautiful day, but so windy

Rachel's turn to give it a try, it would have carried her into the bay if Doug weren't holding it back

Hunting for low tide treasures

Grandpa Roger came to help look/capture the scary things

One of many shore crabs to end up in Caleb's treasure bucket

My uncle Tim, Grandpa Jim, Doug, Erin, Joel and Grandpa Roger on the charter boat in the ocean looking for a good fishing spot, it was rainy and cold when we left the port, but as soon as we got out to the ocean it started to clear up

In between fishing locations, blue sky is taking over the skyline

Inside of a cave at the tip of Cape Lookout, on what turned out to be a beautiful day...the fishing was good, not great, but a lot of fun

Inside the cave a wave surge revealed some colorful creatures

Doug taking a turn at hauling in a crab trap on our way back in to port

An almost glass water day on the ocean, near the Three Arch Rocks off the coast of Oceanside

Joel and Doug with a sample of their catch, all in all, our group of 7 caught around 35 fish which was about half our limit, but we caught 7 different species, more than any other group on the boat!

Back in the Willamette Valley, Doug showing off one of our crawdad catches out of the Tualatin River

Kids dancing to a live band at the McMenamin's Yard House in Forest Grove

Doug and Caleb riding the wagon down the road at my parents house

Rachel getting a ride on Erin's horse Austin

Caleb's turn for a ride

More circles and circles for a pregnant Austin who only wants to stop and eat grass

A stop for some blackberries on our walk back to my parents house from the horse barn

My dad showing my Mom one of the lobster sized crawdads at the crawdad boil

Some of the crawdad boil guests watching the OSU Beaver openning game in the backyard
